"Gustavo Dudamel puts an intimate flourish on Verdi's Requiem" writes the Los Angeles Times about Dudamel's performance of Verdi's masterpiece at the legendary Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. Dudamel is joined by an international cast of star soloists: soprano Julianna Di Giacomo, mezzo-soprano Michelle DeYoung, tenor Vittorio Grigolo, and bass-baritone Ildebrando D'Arcangelo. In addition to its profound spirituality, the work brings together the finest qualities from Verdi's operas, qualities that include endless melodic lines and powerful dramatic effects.
